Cold temps and snow returning just in time could mean this event is a go. Keep fingers crossed. :biggrin

If it stays warm will it be postponed again or canceled?

Hoping it's put off until we get back from Sumter!

I don't see any snow in the future. The ground sure won't be hard by then.

Going to be hard to duplicate the awesome conditions from last year.
Went riding this past weekend in my area, crazy how soft the ground is and the open water.

Not likely with the race less than a week away.

The Rambers did not want to use PayPal. Get there early.

Next year we hope to have a rule change that we will require Pre-registration for all competition series. Only makes sense to cut down on long lines and errors.

That's great except when you have to do refunds, paypal still keeps their fees.
Also, someone needs to look into the new IRS reporting requirements for third party payments over $500.
How does this affect the non-profit clubs?
Just some things to think about.

Plus, will you loose some riders who may not compete for points and may decide to go to an event on an impulse the day before.

If this ends up going thru, the thought process is that a rider will still be able to register the day of the event unless the club elects to do pre-entry only. That only usually occurs when they have a rider cap.

We have that now. If there's going to be a rule to make it mandatory, how will someone be able to post-enter?

The rule would make it mandatory for clubs to offer pre entry. Right now not all clubs offer pre-entry. Same day entry will still be offered as well for those who wish to sign up the day of an event.
There are a number of people, myself included, that prefer pre entering an event, especially the hare scrambles.

Agree. Offering pre-entry is much more efficient and productive.

Also agree — more efficient and productive, more organized, professional, enjoyable. That’s helpful in getting people to keep coming back for events. Good rule.

You can still do pre-entry the old school way of snail mail and check too... I think PSTR did it last year...

We going to see resets and maybe the route sheet.....to load prior to race?

Getting the route sheet ahead allows me to modify so I do not need to wear magnifiers to read....thanx for all you do!

We are expecting trails to be snowless but frozen like a rock. Expect some mud but it has been dry and the upcoming gale force winds will certainly have everything dry’d out about as good as you can get. This is the only day we could do this so come get some points that will boost your outcome later on.

If the ground is frozen you will absolutely want studs.
