Jetting info

Hey guys I'm looking for a little info with jetting. I have a 2016 ktm 250xc, the only mods I have done to the bike is a fmf gnarly pipe and a fmf powercore 2.1 silencer. When I installed the pipe and silencer the instructions said to use stock jetting so that's what I've been doing. The jetting doesn't seem far off to me but maybe a little rich. If you guys are running the same set up any info would be appreciated. Last time I checked the plug it was chocolate color and a little wet. Thanks

Go stock (the chart at the back of the owners manual) and make small adjustments with the air screw after the bike is fully warmed up. This assumes (1) your crank seals are not leaking (2) you don't have any air leaks between carb and cylinder (3) your carb jets are clean (4) air filter is clean and (5) your silencer is not plugged up.

Maybe the aftermarket silencer is affecting it, don't know about that, but to check put your stock silencer back on (stock silencer is nice and quiet and more than adequate power in my opinion).

I've always gone one step leaner than what the book says. I also have a 2007 300 so it's older and a little different.
If you want a terrific headache go to the KTMTalk forum and read the million pages of jetting posts. I tried out the JD jetting kit and it runs real well from his suggested setting. Good luck!

thanks for the feedback guys. I'm going to make small changes one at a time and see how the bike reacts to those changes and go from there.
