Just rode one of these a few weeks ago. Very interesting bikes. They were way ahead of their time.

They had a lot of advanced engineering (fuel injection, etc.) but they were a BAD motorcycle which is why they went out of business. In that era my biggest B Vet/Senior nemesis (who almost always beat me) bought a new Cannondale and literally DNF'ed every enduro that year. Broke the airbox twice (without crashing), sucked dirt and seized. Fuel injection failed multiple times for various reasons, also had electrical gremlins. I wouldn't mind having one in the collection as a novelty, but I would never ride it too far from my truck.

I have a running 89 RM250. The bike will need new tires and the rear brakes installed and fluid changed. The bike runs, shifts and stops once brakes are reinstalled lol. The bike was purchased years ago and I kept it incase I wanted to go through it or use for parts for the other 89 we have. I can bring to the Knox event just don't want to bring back home if I do. It does have an aftermarket pipe and nice condition silencer on it. I have pictures if you want but never able to upload.

Anybody looking for a 1986 IT200 project?
Come take this off my hands before I either get attached to it and start throwing money at it or put it behind the shed and forget about it for 25 years.
I checked for spark and compression. Didn’t go beyond that. Seems to have all the important parts including an intact carburetor, airbox, air filter and things like that. Did not see any cracks in the original fuel tank..

1976 YZ250. Yeah, I still have it. Yeah I've finally admitted to myself I'll never build it.

2) Yz250 motors. One is built and only needs rings. Has Right side Shift Conversion, with left side still intact. The other YZ250 motor has all the parts to go back to stock. Bunches of extras. Ignition, shock, frame, swingarm, carb boots etc... Inter-Am solid aluminum bars, period DID rims,

1.5 400 motors. Enough parts to build one good one.
1 YZ250 frame (509) The black one
1 YZ400 frame (510) The blue one

Pretty much everything needed to build a bike, your choice cc's and plenty of extras. Also all the hard to find parts such as the two sided airbox and new uni filters. Seat pan is good, one shock is good, one needs seals, Pipe is serviceable but needs cleaned up. OEM side panels.
