You could probably build your own if you have electronics knowledge and if you know the signal specs. There's lots of antenna design info on the interwebs.
Looks like it's just a power over ethernet UHF transciever. I have a little software defined radio here so we'll sweep the frequencies next to the helmet and see what bounces back. Thanks ya'll!

Ah just experience! We're essential up here and have a big delivery coming up so Anna and I haven't touched it yet but I'll post some pictures of how we scan to find what frequency the RFID sticker likes to bounce back when we get there.
